Events Planning Committee

K of C 1504 Charities Foundation
This committee helps to raise funds and support the Church and local community organizations. The committee oversees events and provides structures, support, help and advice to any member or group who wish to hold an event. This may mean obtaining licenses or permits from the city. Contacting and arranging dates and times to hold an event. Advice on how to advertise and promote projects both in your parish and in the community. We meet the 1st Saturday of each month, at 797 Guelph St, the meetings start at 10:00 am. YOU are welcome to attend and give your input and suggestions.

Charity Bingo Committee
Knights of Columbus Council 1504 currently participates with 70 other charities and non-profit organizations in Kitchener-Waterloo raising funds through Charitable Bingo at the K-W Gaming Centre located at 501 Krug Street. Funds raised through charitable bingo are used to support programs and services that are provided to the residents of Kitchener-Waterloo.  If you would like to support us, please attend a bingo session. See KW Gaming for more details and you could possibly walk away with the $10,000 main prize.  Council 1504 bingo runs every second Tuesday afternoon starting at 1:00 p.m.

Charities Lottery Ticket Sales (benefits The Arthritis Society and Special Olympics Ontario)

Family Appreciation Day (for Knights and their families)

Children’s Christmas Party (for Knights and their families)

Parish Round Table (to help your local parishes)

Parish Spaghetti Dinner/Lunch (to help raise money for local parishes)

Alarm for Life (to help disabled and elderly people install/replace/put new batteries in their smoke detectors)

ECHO Committee (our quarterly newsletter telling about the good works being done by Council 1504)

Our Everyday Heroes (benefits children and families dealing with disabilities and terminal or chronic diseases in cooperation with Grand River Hospital and Kitchener Fire)

Visitation for Sick at Home or in Hospital (benefits our aged or sick Brothers in hospitals or nursing homes by providing companionship and comfort in times of distress)
