Close to three hundred concert-goers, attending the Knights of Columbus presentation of the St. Michael’s Choir School Concert enjoyed a beautiful evening of Christmas and contemporary music. The programme heard the voices of the amazing St. Michael’s Choir School and the incomparable Waterloo Regional Police Male Chorus. On several occasions the audience was also invited to participate and accompany the Choirs singing the music of the festive season. A standing ovation was given by the appreciative audience at the conclusion of a memorable evening of choral music as together, the two choirs sang the ‘Alleluia’.

Put Christ Back in Christmas ‏(2014)

Nativity Scene Painted Outside - Mac Photo Zoom Construction Pic 2

As a way to bring Christ back into Christmas, our council built nativity scenes for sale as a fundraising event. In preparation of the 2014 Christmas season, with jigsaws in hand, it was a regular sight to see Knights working on the nativity scenes. Many came out and helped with this worthwhile endeavour either cutting, sanding or painting the scenes. All 26 scenes built in 2014 were sold.

THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM – AN UPDATE

(Kitchener, Ontario – September 27, 2014)

Saturday September 27th was a perfect day for the third Knights of Columbus E-waste Recycle Drive. The event was set up in the parking lot at Sobey’s at the corner of Max Becker Drive and Fischer/Hallman Road. A well-done to those Knights who were kept busy unloading vehicles and filling three large containers filled with discarded TVs; computers; monitors and other old electronics. A total of 8 Tonnes of e-waste was collected for recycling. This equates to $1480 aiding the Knights of Columbus in their charitable works.
